What is a MOD Chip?
To prevent people from playing import games or backups, the Playstation checks, if the inserted CD matches the console code during bootup. If not, it stops loading. The MOD Chip injects the correct country code during the boot sequence and you are able to play IMPORT GAMES and CD-R BACKUPS then. Our chips are equipped with the newest codes and work on all Playstation series (JAP, USA, EUR)!
